Alisa Leuthard
Focuses on providing the best instruction and customized training services to her clients and their horses. She has more than 15 years of experience and a working knowledge of all disciplines, specializing in Hunters and Jumpers, with an additional interest in retraining ex-racehorses.

Alisa uses dressage as a platform in all of her training programs to achieve the proper balance, strength and fitness the horse and rider need to perform at the top of their game. Her patient, quiet and encouragement-oriented training techniques make her an excellent instructor for the nervous horse and/or rider, helping both gain confidence and become successful partner-performers. She has access to a variety of west-coast trainers and clinicians, and will work with them to ensure that the best available techniques are applied to each specialized training program.

Having ridden since the age of 8, Alisa started her show career at the age of 10 on the AMHA circuit with her Morgan gelding. After being introduced to her second mount, a very speedy Arab/Quarter, she fell in love with the speed, height, and competitiveness of jumpers and quickly moved up in divisions. Since then she has shown on many of the west-coast hunter/jumper circuits with many fine horses, and is currently working with her imported Australian Thoroughbred, Subjugate, a.k.a Liam. They had a very successful first year of competing together in the modified jumpers division, and both are looking forward to attending Eventing competitions in 2009. Alisa is very focused on her self-improvement, and continually seeks ways to enhance her own skills, growth and expertise.
